About The Position

A Casino Cashier distributes money to gaming guests through check cashing and exchanges of coins and gaming checks for currency. The role verifies and documents transactions, maintains accountability for funds entrusted during each shift, and provides prompt, friendly, and courteous guest service. Cashiers help create an entertaining environment through positive interactions with guests and employees and reliable delivery of services.

The position prepares and verifies bankrolls by supplying currency, coins, and gaming checks to money-handling departments. It operates an assigned customer window, employee window (JPH), Poker Room window, and/or Chip Bank, handling transactions confidentially. The cashier follows regulatory, departmental, and company policies, works with other cashiers and supervisors, and promptly reports shortages, errors, or discrepancies to maintain internal controls.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Strong mathematical ability, including addition and subtraction, and accurate record keeping.
• Ability to perform data entry and read and interpret computer output.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends.
• Must pass a background check and the Missouri Gaming License process.
• Must have dexterity to grip and handle chips, a 10-key adding machine, money bags, computers, and money.
• Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, and pull, and lift and carry at least 25 pounds above and below the shoulders.
• Must be able to tolerate second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

Nice To Haves

• Six months to one year of cash-handling experience is strongly preferred, particularly in high-volume industries.

• Follow regulatory, departmental, and company policies and work with other cashiers and supervisors.
• Immediately report shortages, errors, and discrepancies.
