Cashiers & Porters (Hiring All Shifts)
About The Position
LV Petroleum is seeking customer-oriented Cashiers and Porters to help provide a positive experience for guests at its travel center in Junction, Texas. Cashiers greet customers, assist with orders and inquiries, process payments using a point-of-sale system, maintain familiarity with menu items and promotions, keep cashier and dining areas clean, support team workflow, and help monitor and restock inventory. Porters maintain facility cleanliness, perform routine cleaning, assist with minor repairs and event equipment setup and teardown, monitor janitorial supplies, provide friendly customer service, and follow safety and health regulations. The posting advertises walk-in interviews on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the travel center.
Requirements
- Basic math skills for handling cash and processing transactions.
- Strong verbal communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
- Dependability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

- Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them with orders and inquiries.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions through the point-of-sale system.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and promotions.
- Keep cashier and dining areas clean and organized.
- Collaborate with team members to support efficient service and workflow.
- Monitor inventory levels and help restock items.
- Clean facility areas, particularly restrooms, break areas, and entrances.
- Perform routine cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Assist with minor repairs and maintenance, and alert management to major concerns.
- Set up and tear down equipment for meetings and special events.
- Monitor janitorial supply levels and report supply needs to management.
- Provide friendly and approachable customer service.
- Follow safety and health regulations.
