About The Position

Sprouts Farmers Market Cashiers serve as the face of the company, processing customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently while providing prompt, friendly service and ensuring customer satisfaction. They handle cash, credit and debit payments, and change; provide product and store information; and assist with customer complaints. The role also involves following front-end procedures, stocking and facing shelves, dusting as needed, maintaining knowledge of weekly advertised items and store events, and keeping checkout areas clean and orderly. Cashiers communicate with the front-end manager and Head Cashier and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have 1–2 years of recent cashiering experience.
Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
Be able to operate front-end equipment, including a register, calculator, and scanner.
Be dependable and reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Have good communication skills, the ability to take direction and constructive criticism, and the ability to participate in a team environment.
Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
Be able to lift or carry products weighing up to 30 pounds horizontally or vertically, between 36 and 24 inches, for up to 3 feet, for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
Be able to use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally, requiring a force of up to 35 pounds for up to 4 feet, for up to 50 hours.
Have strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, cash handling, and mathematics.
Be able to read, write, and count.
