About The Position

The Cashier provides customer service, processes transactions accurately, and helps maintain a clean, organized, and appealing store and checkout area. The role also supports store operations through restocking, cleaning, monitoring checkout activity, and collaborating with team members. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
Mathematical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
Positive attitude and willingness to assist customers.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move objects weighing approximately 25 pounds.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
Process cash, credit, and debit transactions efficiently and accurately.
Ensure correct prices and discounts are applied to items.
Provide customers with information about products, promotions, and store policies.
Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues or concerns promptly and courteously.
Keep the checkout area clean and organized, and replenish bags, receipt paper, and other supplies.
Monitor and report checkout discrepancies or suspicious activities.
Collaborate with team members to support smooth and efficient store operations.
Follow safety and security procedures to protect customers, employees, and company assets.
Restock shelves, coolers, and displays, and maintain a neat and visually appealing store environment.
Clean store service areas, restrooms, sales floor, food preparation area, and parking lot.
Perform other duties as assigned.
