About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Cashier to provide exceptional customer service, process transactions accurately, and help maintain a clean and organized store and checkout area. The role includes assisting customers with product, promotion, and policy questions; handling inquiries and resolving concerns; monitoring and reporting checkout discrepancies or suspicious activity; and collaborating with team members to support smooth store operations. Additional duties include restocking shelves, coolers, and displays; cleaning service areas, restrooms, the sales floor, food preparation area, and parking lot; and performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role preferred.
• Mathematical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist customers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move objects up to approximately 25 pounds.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Ensure correct prices and discounts are applied to items.
• Provide customers with information about products, promotions, and store policies.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Keep the checkout area clean and organized, replenishing bags, receipt paper, and other supplies.
• Monitor and report checkout discrepancies or suspicious activities.
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient store operations.
• Follow safety and security procedures to protect customers, employees, and company assets.
• Restock shelves, coolers, and displays and maintain a neat, visually appealing store.
• Clean service areas, restrooms, the sales floor, food preparation area, and parking lot.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
