About The Position

Transwest is seeking a Cashier at its Denver, Colorado location. The Cashier will provide a professional, customer-service-oriented first point of contact for the public and employees and perform a variety of clerical tasks. The position is hourly, with a scheduled shift from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Compensation is $20.00–$24.00. The position reports to the Parts Manager and is open until filled.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record in good standing.
• Superior communication skills in person and over the phone.
• At least one year of administrative experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical, and drug screening.
• Ability to sit, stand, balance, bend, or stoop frequently for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
• Ability to communicate professionally and provide verbal feedback.
• Ability to receive and analyze data and enter it into a computer.
• Normal range of hearing and vision.

Nice To Haves

• Cashier experience.
• Automotive or truck dealership experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers.
• Collect cash and/or credit payments.
• Perform filing.
• Provide receptionist duties as needed.
• Fill in at the front desk or switchboard as needed.
• Assist the Parts, Service, and Warranty departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
