About The Position

Phillips Chevrolet is seeking a part-time Cashier/Receptionist with excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude. The role is approximately 20 hours per week, with morning or afternoon shifts and occasional Saturday shifts. The Cashier/Receptionist receives and directs dealership calls, processes customer payments, performs basic accounting functions in accounts receivable and accounts payable, and assists managers with clerical duties. The position requires professional, courteous, and efficient interactions with customers and employees.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
Basic accounting skills and knowledge of routine accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
Available to work flexible weekday, weeknight, and Saturday hours.
Ability to communicate customers’ interests, needs, and requests to management and sales personnel.
Professional personal appearance.
Clean driving record.
Must submit to a background check and drug screen.

Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Calculate customer bills using the dealership’s computer system.
Receive cash, checks, and credit card payments and record amounts on repair orders and/or counter tickets.
Make change accurately and issue receipts to customers.
Answer phones, direct callers to the proper department, and follow up in a timely manner.
Handle customer complaints diplomatically and refer them to the appropriate person for resolution.
Operate the switchboard telephone system.
Communicate with callers professionally, courteously, and efficiently, minimizing time customers spend on hold.
Assist managers with clerical duties as needed.
Be friendly, professional, courteous, and efficient when working with customers and employees.
Learn department structures and internal procedures to assist customers efficiently.
Receive dealership calls, determine the nature of callers’ business, and direct callers to their destination.
Perform basic accounting functions in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
