About The Position

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing customers’ orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently while providing prompt, friendly service and ensuring customer satisfaction. You handle cash, credit and debit payments, and change, and assist customers with information and complaints. The role also involves following front-end procedures, stocking shelves, facing and dusting as needed, knowing weekly ad items and store product locations, staying familiar with store events and seminars, and communicating with the front-end manager and Head Cashier. You keep checkout areas clean and orderly and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have 1–2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Be able to operate front-end equipment, including a register, calculator, and scanner.
• Be dependable and reliable, with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction and constructive criticism and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Be able to lift and carry product horizontally or vertically weighing up to 30 lbs., from 36 inches to 24 inches, for a distance of up to 3 feet, for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Be able to use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally, requiring a force of up to 35 lbs., for a distance of up to 4 feet, for up to 50 hours.
• Have strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, cash-handling and mathematical skills, and the ability to read, write, and count.
