About The Position

This position is responsible for greeting customers, operating the POS system, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The Cashier also plays a role in supporting community initiatives and ensuring adherence to company policies and safety procedures.

Requirements

Ability to greet customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner.
Proficiency in operating a POS system.
Accurate cash handling skills.
Understanding of coupon and discount processing.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Knowledge of safety practices and equipment handling.
Willingness to assist with training.
Adherence to company policies and procedures.
Ability to perform assigned duties within the framework of Guiding Principles.

Responsibilities

Greet customers in a prompt, friendly, and courteous manner, offering assistance.
Operate the POS system for accurate sales data entry.
Handle all cash transactions, including coupons and discounts.
Promote and manage the "Change Round-up" program to support community missions.
Maintain cleanliness of the store, including front doors, counters, glass, and dressing rooms.
Assist with promotions, customer information, and display setups.
Stock and maintain counter and showcase areas.
Work safely, adhere to proper equipment handling, and report safety hazards.
Assist in training new cashiers.
Place and rotate merchandise on the sales floor.
Adhere to all Memphis Goodwill policies and procedures, including those related to theft and cash handling.
Perform duties within the framework of Guiding Principles.
May participate in activities outside of Goodwill.
Attend in-service and related training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
