About The Position
This Production Associate role at Millington Bargain Barn involves the critical tasks of inspecting and processing donated items and raw materials. The associate is responsible for ensuring the quality and marketability of donations, categorizing raw materials for store use, salvage, or trash. Key duties include tagging items according to Goodwill's rotation system and hanging sorted goods for display on the retail sales floor, all while adhering to established productivity and minimum textile production standards. The role also requires strict adherence to the uniform dress code and all procedures outlined in the Retail Operations Manual.
Requirements
- Ability to inspect donations and raw material for quality to determine marketability as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual.
- Ability to sort raw material-categorize for store use, salvage, trash.
- Ability to tag donated items according to Goodwill’s rotation system as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual.
- Ability to hang sorted goods for placement on to retail sales floor based on productivity standards outlined in the Retail Operations Manual.
- Ability to produce appropriate number of textile items each day according to Goodwill’s minimum standards as outlined in the Retail Operations Manual.
