About The Position

This position involves providing excellent customer service and performing cashiering duties. Responsibilities include handling cash transactions, verifying cash drawers, making change, counting cash receipts, and completing cash reports. The role may also involve general food service work, maintaining sanitation standards in preparation, service, and dining areas, replenishing supplies, and stocking the pastry case. Ensuring compliance with company standards, inventory, cash control, sanitation, and safety requirements is crucial.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age at time of pre-employment screening
Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process; including drug screen and background investigation and meeting Company standards.

Responsibilities

Performs sales transactions in a timely fashion.
Enter all sales into the cash register to ensure purchases are accurately recorded.
Makes change, accept declining balance cards and other acceptable forms of payment, issues receipts to customers.
Follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
Responsible for all assigned change funds and cash receipts.
Ensure that cash drawer is in compliance with overage/shortage standards.
Observes customer purchases on the cafe line and differentiates between standard portions.
May also replenish condiments, coffee, other beverages, and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
May also keep pastry case stocked.
Ensures compliance with company standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
Ensures compliance with all sanitation, compliance, and safety requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Understand and follow employee handbooks, policy and procedures, and payroll requirements.
