About The Position

The Cashier ensures parking tickets are accurately calculated and the correct fee is collected. The role involves assisting customers with parking operation questions, directing them to open exit lanes, completing cashier shift reports, coordinating exception transactions with management, reporting safety and security concerns, and training other employees. The work takes place in a garage environment with exposure to noise and crowds.

Requirements

• Be friendly and courteous with customers.

• Perform basic math calculations.
• Be able to learn fee computer systems and processes, follow directions, and accept training practice and follow-up.
• Be able to work in a garage environment exposed to noise and crowds.

Responsibilities

• Accurately calculate parking ticket fees and collect the correct amount from customers.
• Communicate with customers in a friendly and inviting manner and answer questions about parking operations, including hours and rates.
• Direct customers to open egress lanes to maintain speedy service and exits.
• Accurately complete the daily cashier shift report.
• Coordinate with management on processing exception transactions.
• Inform management of safety and security issues in a timely manner.
• Train other employees.
