Position Summary: A part-time cashier at The GIANT Company scans customer purchases, handles cash and electronic payments accurately, and provides friendly customer service.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work some holidays and have open weekend availability.
Responsibilities
- Scan items, enter codes manually, tally totals, and accept cash, credit, debit, or electronic payments to make correct change.
- Greet shoppers warmly, answer questions, and handle requests like lottery sales or stamps with a helpful attitude.
- Bag items properly and place them into carts, helping customers as needed.
- Restock returned items, clean the checkout lane, and replenish impulse-buy items like candy, snacks, and gift cards.
