About The Position

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you are the face of the company, processing customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently while delivering prompt, friendly service and ensuring customer satisfaction. You handle cash, credit and debit payments, and change, provide product information and directions, and help resolve customer complaints. The role also includes following front-end procedures; stocking, facing, and dusting shelves as needed; staying informed about weekly ad items and store events; and communicating with the front-end manager and Head Cashier. You are expected to keep checkout areas clean and orderly and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have 1–2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Be able to operate front-end equipment, including a register, calculator, and scanner.
• Be dependable and reliable, and able to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills, be able to take direction and constructive criticism, and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Lift and carry products horizontally or vertically weighing up to 30 lbs. between 36 and 24 inches, for up to 3 feet, for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Use both hands to move grocery carts horizontally, requiring force up to 35 lbs. for up to 4 feet, for up to 50 hours.
• Have strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers, cash handling, and mathematical skills; be able to read, write, and count.

• Communicate with the front-end manager and Head Cashier.
• Keep checkout areas clean and orderly.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
