About The Position
The Market at Preston is hiring an evening cashier to join its team. The role is available full-time or part-time, with 30 or more hours per week including weekends. Cashiers provide customer service, process transactions, help keep the store clean, and stock and organize products and ingredients. Employees may choose four- or five-day workweeks if working full-time. Pay is $14–$16.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Basic math skills.
- Sincere and positive attitude.
- Able and willing to assist customers with propane refills.
- Must pass a background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly customer service and build relationships with customers, including regulars.
- Process customer transactions using electronic scanners and cash registers.
- Perform cleaning duties inside and outside the store.
- Stock and organize incoming products and ingredients.
- Assist customers with propane refills.
