About The Position

Cashiers greet and assist guests and perform retail duties, including changing and maintaining displays and helping keep the store neat and clean. Duties may also include replenishing stock or removing merchandise from the sales floor. Cashiers strive to meet daily sales goals, follow Easterseals-Goodwill’s established Best Practices, and cross-train to assist in all aspects of retail operations as directed. Applicants must be physically and mentally able to perform the job requirements, with reasonable accommodation where applicable. All positions require a background check; criminal convictions are not an automatic bar to employment.

Requirements

• Knowledge of merchandise, cash register operations, and making change.
• Ability to work with people having different abilities.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks independently.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand, stoop, bend, and carry for the entire shift, excluding break times.
• Ability to use hands for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
• Physical and mental ability to perform all job requirements.
• Tolerance for extreme changes in temperature and humidity.
• Completion of a background check.
