About The Position

Evergreen Co-op is seeking a Cashier to provide exceptional member service with a positive, professional approach and attitude toward customers. The role involves processing member transactions accurately and efficiently, operating the till with accuracy, and maintaining a neat, clean, and orderly location. The Cashier will adhere to all Evergreen Cooperative Association policies and procedures and participate in the Health and Safety program. This position requires a significant amount of static standing, frequent and constant lifting, bending, and stretching. File maintenance and other duties as requested are also part of the role.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills
Organizational skills and great time management
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple demands at once while still providing excellent customer service
Sense of urgency
Ability to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada by way of Canadian citizenship, permanent residency, or work permit.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail and cash experience would be an asset

Performing file maintenance
Performing any other duties as requested
