About The Position

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you represent the company while processing customer orders quickly, accurately, and efficiently and providing prompt, friendly service. You handle cash, credit and debit payments, and change; provide product and store information; and help resolve customer complaints. You follow front-end procedures and may assist with stocking, facing, and dusting shelves. You maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and store events, communicate with the front-end manager and Head Cashier, keep checkout areas clean and orderly, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have 1–2 years of recent cashiering experience.
• Demonstrate outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and the ability to interact with customers.
• Be able to operate front-end equipment, including a register, calculator, and scanner.
• Be dependable and reliable and able to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills, be able to take direction and constructive criticism, and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to perform repetitive activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Be able to lift and carry products weighing up to 30 lbs., from 36 inches to 24 inches, for up to 3 feet, for up to 50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Be able to move grocery carts horizontally using both hands, requiring force up to 35 lbs., for up to 4 feet, for up to 50 hours.
• Have strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, cash-handling and mathematical skills, and the ability to read, write, and count.
