About The Position

This role involves greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store. The cashier will operate the register for fuel and in-store purchases, promote the loyalty program, and assist customers with their needs. Responsibilities also include stocking shelves, monitoring inventory, and following company policies and safety procedures. Opening and closing duties are also part of the role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and money-handling skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Dependable, honest, and team-oriented
• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching
• Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately process cash, credit, and debit transactions
• Operate the register and handle fuel and in-store purchases
• Promote Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and store
• Stock shelves, coolers, and merchandise as needed
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and report low stock
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling guidelines
• Assist with opening and closing duties
