About The Position

Zuppardo's Family Market, family owned and operated for over 90 years, is seeking professional, service-oriented Cashiers. As a Cashier, you will manage all customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and tracking all cash and credit transactions. Success in this role requires previous customer service experience and knowledge of cash register operations. Ultimately, you will ensure smooth transactions and maximize customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role
• Good math skills
• Exceptional customer service
• Positive, cheerful, enthusiastic attitude
• Neat and clean appearance
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time up to 8-hours and sometimes exceeding
• Open availability due to varying shift times (required) including weekends and holidays
• Must be able to read and speak fluent English
• High school degree or GED

• Louisiana Responsible Vendor Permit

Responsibilities

• Hold or obtain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor Permit
• Stable employment history, dependable and reliable
• Experience using POS
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
• Greet, assist, and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner
• Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas
