About The Position

At Fleet Farm, providing the best customer service is the priority. The Cashier provides customers with a friendly, efficient checkout experience by processing transactions and following policies and procedures designed to reduce shrink. The role involves operating checkout equipment, handling various forms of payment, promoting company programs and initiatives, and maintaining front-end and sales-floor brand standards. The position requires a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic cash-handling procedures, including simple math.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with a quick and efficient checkout experience.
• Operate the cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, and bag merchandise.
• Greet customers warmly and create a pleasant interaction throughout each transaction.
• Process and handle cash, checks, gift cards, and credit and debit card transactions.
• Offer the Extended Protection Policy for qualifying items.
• Maintain brand standards in the front-end area and on the sales floor.
• Promote Fleet Farm’s customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.
• Follow policies and procedures to reduce shrink.
