About The Position
The Cashier position involves providing prompt and courteous service to customers. Key responsibilities include accurately processing transactions, managing cash drawers, and maintaining a clean work station. Requirements
- Friendly personality and “customer service” mentality
- Good mathematic skills
- Ability to wear company-provided uniform, and maintain a clean and groomed appearance
- Must be at least 16 Years old
Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and courteous service to customers
- Count money and check cash drawer at both start and conclusion of shift
- Pass items over the scanner and key in un-scanned items and codes into the register
- Total purchases on register, collect money and make change accurately (Cash checks and verify ID)
- Redeem coupons and stamps, verify expiration dates
- Separate customers order by product, weight, size, etc and bag merchandise
- Check underneath cart to verify all items are ready & available for purchase
- Maintain knowledge of all products and systems
- Maintain work station in a clean orderly condition
