About The Position

Federated Co-ops is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Cashier to work out of our Rush City Cenex location. As a Cashier, you must have excellent customer service skills, the ability to multi-task, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and follow directions. Must be flexible and willing to learn. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. This role involves receiving cash from customers or employees in payment for goods or services.

Responsibilities

Computes or re-computes bills, itemized lists, and tickets showing the amount due.
Makes change, cashes checks, and issues receipts or tickets to customers.
Records amounts received and prepares reports of transactions.
Reads and records totals shown on the cash register tape and verifies against cash on hand.
Quotes prices and describes features of items for which money is received.
Gives cash refunds or issues credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise.
Operates cash register by passing price-coded items across an electronic scanner to record prices, compile a printed list, and display the cost of customer purchases, tax, and rebates on the monitor screen.
