About The Position

The Cashier provides exceptional guest service by operating a cash register and assisting guests with a “Say Yes to the Guest” attitude. The role scans, rings up, or enters merchandise; collects payment and gives correct change; maintains cash drawer security; bags merchandise; and assists guests with questions, concerns, and locating products.

Responsibilities

Operate a cash register accurately and efficiently.
Collect cash, checks, electronic payments, and coupons; provide correct change and maintain the security of the cash drawer.
Scan or ring items accurately and efficiently.
Identify and enter department numbers, produce items, UPC numbers, look-up numbers, weights, and other items that cannot be scanned.
Help guests locate merchandise and answer their questions or concerns.
Carefully bag guest merchandise as needed.
