About The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all cash handling and operating procedures for Tonkawa Enterprises. This role involves providing cash services to gaming customers, maintaining accountability for all entrusted funds, ensuring high standards of guest service, and accurately balancing all money transactions and paperwork. The position also requires accurate data entry, processing drops from Soft Count, and providing assistance and information to guests. Adherence to all applicable laws, gaming regulations, and internal policies, including currency transaction reporting and Title 31 Regulations, is crucial. The Cashier will also assist other cage team members, maintain a well-stocked window, and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • One year of cash handling experience, or related training preferred.
  • Experience with 10-key.
  • Experience with computers and gaming devices preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cash services to gaming customers; check cashing, credit card advances, exchange of foreign currency and cashing gaming tickets.
  • Maintains and is held accountable for all funds entrusted to him/her on an assigned shift.
  • Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest and employee concerns and questions.
  • Accurately balances assigned bank and assumes responsibility for cash and other cash equivalents in assigned window.
  • Balances all money transactions and paperwork.
  • Ensures accurate entry of customer account information into the computer system as applicable.
  • Makes and receives banks for all shifts and all departments.
  • Processes and balances drop from Soft Count.
  • Provides directions, assistance, and/or information as may be required to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Provides and promotes excellent internal/external customer service.
  • Presents a sociable and professional demeanor towards guests and employees at all times.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and internal policies and procedures.
  • Assures compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements.
  • Adheres to all Title 31 Regulations.
  • Assists other cage team members as needed.
  • Maintains a neat and well stocked window during and for the next shift.
  • Performs cashier bank functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
