Cashiers should maintain a working knowledge of all checkout functions while welcoming each customer with a positive, helpful attitude. They should convey our Blain’s Culture to every customer. This can include, but is not limited to: Greeting customers when entering and leaving the store and when entering the checkout line, scanning each item and ensuring pricing is accurate, redeeming in-store and manufacturer coupons, replenishing merchandise/supplies in the checkout area, maintaining cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, resolving customer issues and handling customer inquiries (elevating to management as needed), achieving specific goals for Blain’s Rewards Mastercard applications, Loyalty sign-ups, and BEST Protection Plans, assisting at customer care, Self Checkout, and the sales floor as needed, and demonstrating awareness and compliance with all relevant policies (e.g., finance, safety, LP, HR, legal, etc.).
