About The Position

We are looking for Cashiers for Marilyn’s Café who will be interacting with customers and accepting payment from them for services provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Money-handling and excellent customer service skills are a necessity.
• Must possess a high regard for customer service and employee relations.
• Good communication skills, and the ability to perform in fast paced and goal oriented environment.
• Must have a valid Nevada Health Card.
• Must be able to work in a environment with exposure to second hand smoke and high noise levels.

Nice To Haves

• Prior cashiering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders at the counter.
• Receive payments and present change to customers.
• Pack food items, make coffee, and fill beverage cups.
• Function as the host/hostess of the restaurant.
• Receive food checks from waiters or customers.
• Appeal to impatient or irritated customers, especially during rush hours.
• Manage the register, including all credit card, cash operations, and Casino Comp Dollars.
• Ensure a balance of the register at the end of the shift or working period.
• Standing and walking for long periods of time.
