About The Position
Goodwill Industries-Manasota, Inc. (comprising Goodwill Manasota and Goodwill Palm Beaches & Treasure Coast), a leading 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to Changing Lives Through the Power of Work, proudly serves 11 counties on the east and west coasts of Florida. Goodwill's mission-integrated social enterprise transforms community donations into opportunities — providing training, resources, and support through our programs and strong local collaborations to help individuals obtain employment and build skills. As a Cashier, you will greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm, operate the POS to ensure accurate and efficient sales data, price, and information codes on merchandise, welcome customers to participate in a Change Round Up to the nearest dollar to further support our missions, respond to phone calls while offering world-class customer service, assist in the training of new team members and cashiers, and maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe sales floor and return all unsold merchandise to the floor.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred
- Six months of cash handling experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers with enthusiasm
