About The Position

We are looking for one individual to join our cashier team. The right candidates will have strong communication skills and the ability to handle a flexible schedule. The day-to-day responsibilities will include cash handling, balancing the cash drawer, answering the dealership phone, greeting customers, and assisting the receptionist and Service BDC. Vara Chevrolet is located off of IH-35 South near South Park Mall. Read the responsibilities and qualifications before applying and complete the survey.

Requirements

Excellent listening/communication skills, outgoing and positive personality
Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility
Professional appearance, mature, and eager to improve on all aspects
English; basic Spanish speaking skills (explaining payment and services, giving directions, counting money, and greeting customers)
Basic computer skills: email and willing to learn our dealership system
Able to stand, stoop, bend, type, file, carry reams of paper, and answer phones

Nice To Haves

Cashier or bank teller experience a plus but not required
Retail experience a plus but not required

Responsibilities

Cash, check and credit card handling, balance cashier drawer, make receipts.
Keep all receipts and Repair Orders organized
Answer dealership group phones, greet and assist customers
Direct customers to the correct department, notify the appropriate person that a customer is waiting, and introduce the customer to the representative
Transfer phone calls to correct departments, employee, take and deliver customers notes.
Work cooperatively with all departments
Communicate with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner
Type memos, correspondence, and other documents
Assist the Service BDC and Receptionist
Other duties as assigned
