About The Position

Chook on Orchard is hiring a Cashier for Summer 2026. The Cashier position is responsible for being a welcoming first point of contact with all guests, properly entering orders into the point of sale system, communicating respectfully with other employees, serving guests beverages, and assisting with other roles as needed. Responsibilities

Welcome all guests in a positive manner.
Correctly take orders with Chooks standards of service.
Confidently describe Chooks story and menu items to guests.
Assist guests with beverage needs after taking their orders and during their entire time at the restaurant.
Serve alcohol only to guests over 21 years of age and follow the Chook Identification Policy for all alcoholic orders.
Maintain a clean work station and restaurant while on shift.
Perform pre-shift side work duties, running side work throughout shift, and closing or end of shift side work with attention and care.
Fill in any role that may be needed during a shift.
Maintain clean dining areas, restrooms, and kids areas throughout the entirety of every shift.
Clear food and drinks for guests.
Refresh non-alcoholic beverages for all guests dining in the restaurant.
Polish glassware for beverage service.
Appropriately ask questions when necessary.
Appropriately ask for help when necessary.
Follow all safety procedures at Chook.
Arrive on time for all shifts in a clean uniform with good personal hygiene.
