About The Position

Goodwill Kentucky is seeking a high-energy, positive, team-minded Cashier to support the success of its retail store operation. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service while supporting Goodwill’s values of Dignity, Service, Hope, and Partnership. Goodwill’s retail operation generates revenue for community programs and services and provides job opportunities to people facing limited options. Employees help further the mission of empowering people to build dignity and independence through employment and self-sufficiency. The position pays $12.00 per hour and is full-time. Shift B is 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., five 8-hour days. Store hours are Monday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Requirements

• No education is required.
• Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
• Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk around the store.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service and/or production experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete transactions, handle money responsibly in all forms, and maintain accurate point-of-sale purchases.
• Sort, grade, process, and stock donated goods, and support their sale.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive shopping experience.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties to maintain store cleanliness.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
