About The Position

The Cashier position involves greeting customers, accurately processing various transactions including cash, credit, and debit, and operating the register for both fuel and in-store purchases. Key aspects of the role include promoting the Gas N Wash rewards/loyalty program, assisting customers with questions, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cashier area and the store. Responsibilities also extend to stocking shelves, coolers, and merchandise, monitoring inventory levels, reporting low stock, and adhering to all company policies, safety procedures, and cash-handling guidelines. The role also includes assisting with opening and closing duties.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to stand for entire shift
• Ability to frequently lift between 5 to 20 pounds
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform repeated bending, kneeling, twisting and overhead reaching
• Ability to work in intermittent temperature, e.g., outside by the pumps and in the cooler

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience is a plus
