About The Position
The cashier is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while accurately taking orders, processing payments, and maintaining the front counter. The cashier is responsible for their cash drawer at all times that it is under their name. Cashiers will show up to work on time, in uniform, and ready to work. Cashiers should be welcoming, attentive, accurate, and professional at all times. Every customer should feel acknowledged and taken care of from the moment they enter the restaurant.

Responsibilities
- Greet every customer in a friendly and timely manner.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Explain menu items and answer customer questions about menu items.
- Enter orders correctly into the POS system.
- Confirm special requests and modifications.
- Process cash, credit/debit, and other approved payment methods accurately.
- Provide customers with correct change and receipts.
- Communicate orders and special requests to the kitchen.
- Maintain a clean and organized register and front-counter area.
- Monitor dining and customer areas and communicate cleaning needs.
- Assist with stocking front-of-house supplies.
- Handle customer concerns professionally and involve management with any problems that arise.
- Follow cash-handling and security procedures.
