Cashier
About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Kentucky is seeking a high-energy, positive, team-minded Cashier to support retail store operations and provide excellent customer service. Retail sales help fund programs and services across Kentucky and create job opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. This mission-focused role supports Goodwill’s values of partnership, service, hope, and dignity by helping people build independence and self-sufficiency. The position pays $12.00 per hour and is full-time. Shift B is 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., five 8-hour days. Store hours are Monday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Requirements
- No education is required.
- Ability to lift and carry 10 pounds frequently and up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk around the store.
Nice To Haves
- One year of customer service and/or production experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Complete transactions and responsibly handle all forms of payment while maintaining point-of-sale accuracy.
- Sort, grade, process, and stock donated goods for sale.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive shopping experience.
- Perform basic housekeeping to keep the store clean.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
