About The Position
Foodland Super Market, Ltd. is seeking a Full-Time Cashier to join their team. This locally owned and operated company has been serving Hawaii for over 75 years, with a strong commitment to exceptional service, quality, and innovation. The Cashier will be responsible for providing fast, friendly, and accurate check-out services, handling money, bagging orders, and assisting customers. The role also involves maintaining the cleanliness of the check stands and surrounding areas, and potentially returning items to shelves. Accuracy, basic math skills, and the ability to memorize product codes and specials are important. The position requires interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must successfully pass math test
- Must successfully pass cashier training after hire
- TB Clearance required
- Must comply with all company policies and requirements
- Accuracy and basic math skills are important
- Ability to memorize product identification codes and weekly ad specials

- Evening and weekend availability is strongly preferred
- Candidates with open availability will be prioritized for next steps
Responsibilities
- Providing fast, friendly, and accurate check out services for our customers using computerized cash register systems
- Handling and counting money
- Bagging customers' orders
- Help shoppers find items in the store
- Assist in the cleaning and dusting of the check stands and surrounding areas
- May take “return” products back to proper shelf locations
- Weighing, scanning, and bagging orders
- Performing a cash audit of the contents in assigned cash drawer
- General maintenance, dusting, and cleaning of check stands and surrounding area
- Resolving service and product related customer service issues
- Providing outstanding customer service
- Maintaining a neat, well-groomed personal appearance, observing company dress code
- Abiding by all company policies and procedures
- Performing other duties and assignments as directed
