In the kitchen, the role involves working safely to serve great tasting food fast and friendly, greeting every guest with an enthusiastic welcome, taking orders, preparing orders accurately, operating equipment, maintaining food safety and personal hygiene standards, entering orders and computing bills using cash registers, accepting payments and making change, keeping drink and condiment areas stocked, cleaning and organizing areas, and notifying management of shortages.

Requirements

Must be professional, polite, and reliable

Nice To Haves

High School Education or GED preferred
Prior restaurant or customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

Greet every guest with an enthusiastic welcome as they enter the café
Take orders from customers at counter
Prepare order and check that it is accurate before serving to a customer
Operate the equipment required for preparing food and ensure that is working properly
Maintain food safety and standards in food preparation and personal hygiene
Enter customer orders and compute bill using cash registers
Accept payment from customers, and make change as necessary
Keep items needed at drink-dispensing and condiment area filled
Clean and organize dining and kitchen areas
Notify management of food or beverage shortages
