About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a Cashier/Sales Floor Associate in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. The associate handles customer transactions, stocks and merchandises the store, and builds relationships with customers and donors. The role also involves keeping the store clean, supporting store leadership and new personnel, and following agency safety policies and guiding principles. Pay is $13.40 per hour. The posting lists the role as hourly and full-time/part-time.

Requirements

Strength in mathematics.
Strong people and customer service skills.
Able to identify shades and tones of color and visually inspect clothing.
Background check required.

Nice To Haves

Computer experience preferred.
Prior retail experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure 100% donor and customer satisfaction.
Itemize purchases using the point-of-sale (POS) system, handle cash, make change, and implement agency programs such as Round Up and Loyalty.
Use POS software to enter starting and ending cash amounts and maintain accurate customer records.
Handle customer disputes, make exchanges according to policy, and assist customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
Assist with stock rotation and merchandise racks, shelves, and other displays in a presentable manner.
Assist store team leadership in training new personnel.
Help maintain a clean store by cleaning shelves, dusting, vacuuming floors, and cleaning windows and mirrors.
Assist with floor running, apparel rotation, and cleaning dressing rooms as needed.
Follow agency safety policies and guidelines, and participate with supervisors and team members in addressing identified safety concerns.
