About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate helps keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and running smoothly while providing friendly customer service. The role includes operating the register, selling lottery, cigarette, and alcohol products in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements, offering upsells, stocking merchandise, and cleaning both indoor and outdoor areas. Duties also include maintaining restrooms, gas pumps, store floors, windows, entryways, and the parking lot; removing trash in all weather; and cross-training in other departments, including deli, as needed. Associates follow company safety procedures and policies and assist teammates wherever needed. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, available to work weekends and holidays, and comfortable standing for most of a shift and working indoors and outdoors in all weather. The job requires effective English communication, basic math skills, frequent lifting of 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening. Retail or customer-service experience is appreciated but not required.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be comfortable standing for most of a shift and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication skills.
Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
