About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate helps keep the store clean, safe, inviting, and running smoothly while providing friendly customer service. The role includes operating the register, handling lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements, and offering customers additional products when appropriate. Associates maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store, including deep-cleaning restrooms, sanitizing gas pumps, removing litter, taking trash to the dumpster in all weather, and sweeping, mopping, and cleaning windows and entryways. They stock shelves, coolers, and displays, may cross-train in other departments such as deli, and help wherever needed while following safety procedures and company policies. Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Candidates must be able to work weekends and holidays and spend most of their shift on their feet, indoors and outdoors in varying weather. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check; candidates may also be required to undergo pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be prepared to work on their feet for most of the shift and be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Able to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
Friendly, positive demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
Detail-oriented, reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and responsible.
Flexible and adaptable to a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
