About The Position
The Cashier/Sales Associate helps keep the store clean, inviting, safe, and running smoothly while providing customer service and operating the register. The role includes sales of lottery tickets, cigarettes, and alcohol with compliance with age-verification and legal requirements; offering service and upselling; stocking shelves, coolers, and displays; and maintaining the store’s interior and exterior. Cleaning duties include restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and litter around the store and lot, as well as taking trash to the dumpster in all weather. Associates may cross-train in other departments, including deli, and are expected to follow safety procedures, company policies, and assist the team as needed. Full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Must be prepared to stay on their feet for most of the shift.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Ability to frequently lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal history background check.
- Friendly demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
- Attention to detail.
- Punctuality, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
- Adaptability and willingness to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and operate the register accurately and quickly.
- Handle lottery, cigarette, and alcohol sales while following age-verification and legal requirements.
- Provide friendly customer service and upsell when possible.
- Keep the store’s interior and exterior clean and safe.
- Deep clean high-use restrooms.
- Wipe down and sanitize gas pumps, including nozzles, screens, and water buckets.
- Pick up litter and trash from the floor and lot area.
- Take trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays.
- Sweep, mop, clean windows, and maintain entryways.
- Cross-train in other departments, including deli, as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company policies.
- Help wherever needed as a team player.
