About The Position

The Cashier/Sales Associate serves customers, operates the register, and helps keep the store clean, safe, stocked, and running smoothly. The role includes sales of lottery, cigarettes, and alcohol in compliance with age-verification and legal requirements, providing friendly service and upselling when possible, and maintaining both indoor and outdoor areas. Cleaning duties include restrooms, gas pumps, floors, windows, entryways, and the parking lot, as well as taking trash to the dumpster in all kinds of weather. Associates may be cross-trained in other departments, including deli, and are expected to follow safety procedures, company policies, and help the team where needed. The position requires working weekends and holidays, being on one's feet for most of a shift, and working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Candidates must be at least 18, communicate effectively in English, perform basic math, and meet the stated lifting requirements. Previous retail or customer-service experience is appreciated but not required. Employment offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check, and candidates may be required to undergo pre-employment drug screening.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
Must be willing to work hard and remain on one's feet for most of a shift.
Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Must have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
Must be capable of frequently lifting 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and be subject to a criminal-history background check.
Friendly, positive demeanor and ability to make customers feel welcome.
Attention to detail, reliability, punctuality, responsibility, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
