About The Position

Responsible for creating a warm and inviting service experience by receiving payment in the form of cash, checks, and credit cards from customers and/or employees in exchange for goods or services. The primary accountability is to ensure the guest experience is optimal. This role involves greeting guests courteously and professionally, handling transactions accurately, operating a cash register, verifying customer information, and maintaining knowledge of products sold. Additionally, the position requires taking and processing guest orders, maintaining line presentation and cleanliness, and adhering to health code regulations. The role also involves performing other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull in the performance of duties.
  • Must be able to use fingers bilaterally and unilaterally (one-handed) to unload boxes and operate equipment related to your job.
  • Must be able to maintain balance and climb three to five feet on a ladder in order to retrieve supplies, store boxes, etc. as required to perform the functions of your job.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving payment in the form of cash, checks, and credit cards from customers and/or employees.
  • Greeting guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Counting currency and giving accurate change back to customers.
  • Operating cash register and computerized system.
  • Verifying customer ID when accepting credit cards.
  • Verifying all bills larger than $10.00 to ensure they are not counterfeit.
  • Reconciling cash register tape with cash and receipts on hand at end of shift.
  • Taking and reading guest's vegetable order.
  • Keeping order together as it progresses through the line.
  • Maintaining consistent portion control.
  • Maintaining line presentation and cleanliness of counters.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
