About The Position
The Cashier II, under general supervision, assists with processing payments for purchase, preparing deposit slips, and supervising other Cashiers and student workers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Responsibilities
- Reviews daily cashier check-out sheets and bank deposits.
- Accepts cash, checks, and credit card payments via walk-ins or by telephone.
- Assists in balancing cash receipts for accounting.
- Reports daily departmental deposits.
- Records and receives drop box payments.
- Assists in training and supervising temp cashiers and student workers.
- Replenishes inventory stock in the store and assists with annual inventory count.
