About The Position

The Cashier II is a key member of the TravelCenters of America store team, primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests. The role serves customers courteously, quickly, and efficiently; processes transactions using a point-of-sale register; maintains a clean, well-stocked food and beverage area; receives and unloads products; and stocks and organizes merchandise on planograms. The Cashier II may also assist in training lower-level cashiers, prioritize work according to store and management needs, follow safety guidelines, report potentially unsafe situations, and communicate effectively with leaders and coworkers. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Computer/POS knowledge is required.
• Cash handling skills are required.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• 2+ years of cashier experience preferred.
• Merchandising/stocking experience preferred.
• Dedicated individual who works well with others and is excited to be part of the team.

• Prioritize work according to store and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
