About The Position
The San Lorenzo Lumber & Home Centers, now owned by Builders FirstSource, are located throughout the Santa Cruz area and provide comprehensive customer service for homeowners and contractors. The sales staff assists customers in selecting the appropriate hardware, tools, and supplies for their projects. Builders FirstSource is the largest supplier of building products, prefabricated components, and value-added services to the residential construction market in the U.S. This role operates under direct supervision, involving greeting customers, processing payments, issuing receipts, refunds, credits, or change, and packaging customer purchases. The position also includes providing product information, store knowledge, and directing customers to product pick-up points. Responsibilities also encompass opening and closing out the till, accurately documenting transactions, making change, verifying credit cards and checks, balancing receipts, assisting with pricing and stocking inventory, display preparation and maintenance, maintaining store presentation, and participating in annual physical inventory activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Six (6) months of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Responsibilities
