About The Position

This position involves collecting fees and providing directions for waste disposal and recycling at the county’s convenience centers. Responsibilities also include performing general maintenance of grounds and facilities, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires a positive attitude and a strong emphasis on safety. The position is considered Safety Sensitive and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing. Applicants must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• One year of experience performing cashiering and/or grounds maintenance duties, or an equivalent combination of training and experience
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience in cashiering operations
• Basic computer and calculator skills
• Accurate record keeping
• Good customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Current valid driver’s license and good driving record
• DMV records must not reflect a total of six or more demerit points within the twenty-four months preceding the anticipated hire date, or one major violation of six demerit points within the preceding thirty-six months
• Out-of-state driving records must be obtained by applicant and presented at time of interview
• Driving records must reflect at least three years of history and be dated within thirty days of interview date
• Pre-employment drug testing required
• FBI criminal background check required
• Education/degree verification required
• Must maintain personal mobile technology as a condition of employment
