About The Position

Rainbow Blossom is seeking friendly, reliable cashiers to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with customers and contributing to a smooth-running store. This role is centered on delivering friendly, accurate cashier service and assisting with store operations, reporting to the Store Manager and Person in Charge (PIC).

Requirements

Must have night and weekend availability
Frequently lift up to 20 pounds; occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Stand, walk, bend, twist, and pack bags often; squat or kneel occasionally; climb rarely.

Responsibilities

Follow all store policies and procedures.
Be a productive, professional, and cooperative team member.
Maintain a safe and clean environment for customers and staff.
Attend staff and department meetings.
Check out customer purchases quickly and accurately, using correct prices, PLUs, and procedures.
Provide prompt, friendly customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, offering purchase suggestions, and assisting with special orders.
Encourage customers to join Rainbow Rewards.
Handle returns properly, including recording and routing items as required.
Assist in training new staff in cashiering and store operations.
Set up and close cash drawers following store procedures.
Balance cash drawers, prepare deposits, and maintain accurate cash flow records.
Safely retrieve change from the safe and assist with deposits as needed.
Stock shelves and end caps, rotate older inventory, and ensure products are labeled accurately.
Receive small deliveries and assist department managers as needed.
Keep shelves, coolers, counters, and floors clean and organized.
Maintain department equipment and report any issues to the PIC.
