This position will provide prompt, friendly, courteous and reliable service and assistance to customers at the check stand, creating a unique and satisfying shopping experience that will exceed their expectations.

Responsibilities
- Operates Cash register to itemize and total customer purchases.
- Reviews price sheets to note price changes and sale items.
- Acknowledges, greets, projects a positive attitude and thanks each customer.
- Handles groceries with extreme care, separates like items.
- Competent in all aspects of bagging.
- Collects cash, check or charge payment from customer and tenders accurate change in accordance with store policy and procedures.
- Handles damaged or spoiled products and return-to-stock according to Front End or store procedures.
- Performs price checks as needed.
- Effectively handles customer complaints and contacts a manager when necessary.
- Maintains an organized and clean work area, cleans belt and register regularly.
- Performs ID checks when expending alcoholic beverage or cigarettes.
- Meets the physical requirement to perform the job functions listed above.
