About The Position

A Cashier / Catering role blends financial responsibility with hands-on food service and event execution. You act as both the "face" of the business for transactions and a key team member in preparing and serving bulk meal orders for special events.

Requirements

  • Ability to remain professional and friendly in fast-paced or high volume environments.
  • Strong skills in calculating bills and handling monetary transactions without errors.
  • Capacity to stand for long periods (often 6+ hours) and lift equipment or supplies weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Meticulous tracking of inventory, transactions, and food safety logs.

Responsibilities

  • Process cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately using a Point of Sale (POS) system. This includes providing receipts, issuing change, and reconciling the cash drawer at the end of shifts.
  • Greet guests, answer menu questions, and offer recommendations or upselling to enhance their dining experience.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of catering events. This often involves setting up tables, linens, dishes, and buffet lines at various locations.
  • Serve hot and cold items to guests while maintaining proper food temperatures and sanitation standards.
  • Help prepare bulk food items (e.g., salads, meats, baked goods), package orders for delivery, and ensure all necessary supplies are ready for off-site events.
  • Keep service areas, checkout stations, and event spaces clean and organized before, during, and after service.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant work environment. This includes following safety protocols, maintaining environmental responsibility, and upholding quality standards in all tasks. Employees are expected to actively participate in HSEQ training and report any potential hazards or compliance concerns.
