About The Position

The Cake Cutter/Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while accurately preparing cake and dessert orders and processing guest transactions. This position requires attention to detail, efficiency, and a warm, welcoming demeanor while maintaining The Cake Bake Shop’s presentation and service standards.

Nice To Haves

Previous restaurant, retail, cashier, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide knowledgeable, friendly service.
Accurately cut, portion, plate, package, and present cakes and desserts according to company standards.
Process cash and credit card transactions accurately through the POS system.
Assist guests with menu questions and product selections.
Maintain stocked, clean, organized, and visually appealing cake and cashier stations.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
Monitor product quality and communicate low inventory or product needs to management.
Complete opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
Work collaboratively with team members to provide a seamless guest experience.
Follow all company policies, procedures, uniform, and appearance standards.
Perform other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.
